So I haven’t been on Tumblr for a little while, and I have made some changes in my life. I also guess I have decided to blog about them. I am a big girl! That is kinda why I went with the new free theme on my page… it’s called CHUNKY :P Do to some recent health issues I have decided to change this. I read on one of those “How to loose weight” sights that blogging helps so here we go….
Over the summer I discovered that I am gluten intolerant and allergic to dairy, ok so I didn’t pay the big money to go get all the testing done because I am broke. But I do have several family members who have and who had the same symptoms I was having. I also have very low blood sugar and am at high risk for diabetes, which I need to go to the doctor for but we will see. I do not want to be put on an medication so I am going to try to loose the weight first. Therefore I did a test run to see if this what was causing me a lot of health problems. I cut out all gluten and dairy… and most sugar. In one month I lost 20 pounds by doing this. I feel like those things made me retain a lot of water. I also do not have anymore stomach issues along with other health problems so I am going to keep with it. Now it is time to kick it up though and add more exercise so that I can reach my goal weight.
I started this summer out at 220 lbs. and am down to 200. I haven’t been under 200 lbs sense probably 8th grade and I am 22 now, so I will probably cry when I reach 199! The month of July was an awesome month! I mean I lost 20 lbs, by just trying to feel better. I don’t know if you know what gluten and dairy do to your stomach if you are allergic to it, but it is just not ok! Anyway, now it is September 26 and I haven’t lost anymore weight. I have started Grad School at UK so I think that adjustment has effected this, and I know it is going to take time so I am trying not to get discouraged. My goal is to loose around a total of 60lbs before my birthday on January 1st. I feel like that could be realistic. Over all though I would like to loose 100lbs and be down to 120 which is the “ideal” weight the doctor says for my height of 5 ft. I have been walking about 3 miles everyday and doing about 30 minutes of yoga this month. I have seen some changes but it is time to kick my own ass and get down to business.
I will be tracking my weight loss and what Im doing on here. I will also be posting some gluten/ dairy free recipes… some that I have made up because I love to cook and most of all I love to eat! Of course there will also be some bitching about how life and trying to loose weight sucks. If anyone reads this, thanks.
